Defending Grammie

Cousin Pride

Let’s help this father.......

Children need to be protected. Right now there is a little boy called Jaidyn Tucker who has been abused. The school has covered it up and that’s disgusting. I think I’ll let Jamie Tucker (Jaidyn Tucker’s father) tell you how he found out 👉 https://www.gofundme.com/this-could039ve-been-your-child?pc=tw_dn_cpgnsharemore_r&rcid=r01-153036212004-238ca3fb0ca744c8 ðŸ‘ˆ If you can go help them with legal fees. If you can’t do that spread the word about the situation. This isn’t ok. This boy needs justice. #Justice4Jaidyn

Let’s talk family.....Let’s talk my elusive Great Great Grandma 👵

Families are difficult and mine is no acception. For 2 1/2 years I’ve been doing my family tree and have discovered so many secrets. Some of the secrets are good. Some of the secrets sad. Some of the secrets are bad. If you follow me on social media you will know that my great great grandma was a Bowes Lyon. I’ve discovered so much about her but for some reason she remains a mystery. Whilst she is apart of a family that are very different to others she wasn’t like them.  She was a mystery. I’m always researching her and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. She left very few paper trails and next to no digital footprint. I’m determined to find out why.

You’ve probably watched the clip and worked it out. She was the sister of  Elizabeth Bowes Lyon, Queen Mother. That’s what the public records say anyway. I’ve had to dig for all the information about her. I don’t mind doing that it’s fun but I feel I’m going to need help.

If you have any other information I’d be grateful.  Her name was Elizabeth Dorothy Roberts. But often went by her nickname of Eliza Dottie. You can email me on shannon.social.media1996@gmail.com if you have any information. Thankyou

Celebrity Gossip Blogs: Should politics and royal news be left for the mainstream media?

Over the years celebrity gossip blogs have gotten more and more popular. The likes of www.perezhilton.com and www.celebuzz.com love to gossip about the latest scandals in Hollywood. Whilst I myself admittingly love to indulge in the gossip it got me thinking. Where do they draw the line? What topics are off limits? Personally I feel that www.perezhilton.com has crossed that line. Whilst I appreciate that Perez is trying to keep his blog current he should not be gossiping about the British Royal Family or politics. Having read what he has said on both topics has made me realise how much he lacks in education on the topics. I feel that he’s written what he’s written out of ignorance. As a gossip blogger if you are going to tackle the topic of politics you shouldn’t impose your own views on your audience. The reason I feel this is because you can influence people’s decisions. In today’s age people are on the internet all the time. They have access to instant information and people’s views quicker than our ancestors did. This makes blogs extremely powerful. Perez has influenced a lot of people already with his strong political views. I don’t think he realises this. Making statements like he has out of anger has fuelled the flames of hate for Donald Trump. Whilst I don’t condone all that he does Perez should have only reported on the facts. When you put your opinion in the mix as a reporter is a catalyst for disaster. Big mistake Perez. Big mistake. I’ve also noticed that a few gossip bloggers have also been gossiping about my family. I happen to be a lesser known member of the British royal family. I’m going to try and stay impartial in my comments. I’m only human. If it gets to personal I apologise. Let’s get started. Ever since Rachel Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding gossip bloggers have been gossiping about the British royal family. Whilst I can understand that they got used to gossiping about Rachel. She’s a Duchess. Yes she was an actress but she isn’t now. It’s inappropriate to think that you, gossip bloggers, have the privilege to continue to gossip all because of what she once was. It’s inappropriate on so many levels. Celebrity gossip bloggers don’t understand the reason why the royal family are as they are. The formality of being a royal, rules that uhave to be followed are a few things that are harder for your average Jack / Jill to understand. Commenting on what a royal does without clearly understanding royal protacall is naive. Education is everything. It doesn’t matter what subject you talk about. If you don’t understand the situation don’t blog about it. It makes you look ignorant. Unfortunately Perez Hilton has made himself look ignorant more than once. This is sad because I once admired him. He used to do his research vigorously. It seems like Perez doesn’t care about the one thing that gave him his fame anymore. So to answer the question do I feel that the subject of politics and royal families be covered by main media only. The answer is yes. Most bloggers don’t have enough knowledge to understand the complexity of royal families and politics. Let me hear your thoughts on this in the comments below

R.I.P Joseph Jackson

Having battled pancreatic cancer, Joseph Jackson lost his on June 27th.  I think this goes to show that cancer doesn’t discriminate. Not all cancers can be cured but it’s good to try. If you have cancer symptoms go and see your doctor because it could save your life. Whilst many have lost there’s, if yours can be healed take the chance. Many like Joseph fight the disease and lose. Always listen to your doctor.

Joseph was truly a person to be reckoned with. Not only did he set his children on the path to stardom but he also remained the doting father and husband.   I looked up to him as a role model. He inspired me to do better. He inspired me not to settle. I’ll miss him. I’m just glad that he’s not in anymore pain. The media persecuted him in life for no reason but feel that they have the right to mourn him. Whilst articles like this one 👉 https://news.sky.com/story/joe-jackson-father-of-michael-jackson-dead-at-89-11418854 are respectful. The paparazzi need to answer to they’re hypocrisy.

R.I.P Joseph Jackson - You’ll always be remembered and never forgotten.

Top 5 Tips: How to start your family tree?

Nowadays everyone wants to know where there family comes from. I found myself in that position and started my family tree. I hope my top 5 tips help.
1: Always ask your parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents what they know. This is a good start because families always have stories that are handed down through generations.
2: Start drawing the family tree on paper. Always start with you. This will help you start the journey and make sure that the information is accurate.
3: Choose a reputable tree building site. I personally chose myheritage.com because it had a lot of information which has helped with the growth of my tree.
4: Family photo albums help. Visualisation of ancestors can help figure out your family. Sometimes photos can understand where you get your looks for example.
5: Talk to relatives friends. Sometimes they know information that you don’t. You sometimes have to dig deep. Sometimes they are secretive to they’re family.
I hope this helps. I always enjoy doing my family tree. Don’t be afraid to dig deep

Autism: Is it caused by vaccines?

Andrew Jeremy Wakefield is a former British doctor who got struck off the U.K. medical register in 2010 for unethical behaviour, misconduct and fraud. The former Dr Wakefield started an epidemic in the 1990s when he published a paper making outrageous claims. Published on March 1998 in “The Lancet” he made claims that autism, inflammatory bowl disease and MMR vaccine were connected. This has been debunked by many medical boards. Whilst this may seem like no big deal the former doctor has actually done a lot of damage.

People are afraid of they’re child having autism because of what he stated. Autism isn’t caused by vaccines. Autism - for those of you who don’t know - is a lifelong, developmental disorder that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people. It also effects how they experience the world around them. I should know. I’m autistic and I’m proud of it. Having a neurological disorder isn’t a death sentence. It makes life interesting.

I can’t help but fear for our youths lives as anti vakkers shove dangerous ideologies down people’s throats. I fear that the meazles, mumps and many diseases that haven’t been around in along time will make a comeback. This in itself is terrifying particularly as our bodies have never even encountered most of these illnesses in our system.  Our grandparents have more of a chance of surviving an outbreak than we do. I hope that people start thinking about the consequences that would occur.

It disturbs me that celebrities such as Kat Von D, Jenny McCarthy, Jim Carrey and to some extent President Donald Trump are anti vakkers. It’s better to vaccinate and to know your child is safe than to toy with the fact that they may get dangerous diseases such as polio. Whilst we all want the best for our youth blindly following someone, particularly a celebrity, is dangerous. I myself have many celebrities who I consider my idols, I’d never take they’re extreme standpoint particularly if it goes against your own morals. Sometimes prevention is better than cure.

More research is needed on autism but not by doctors who have been proven to lie. Until such time I’ll just sit my autistic self here and shred Andrew Wakefield apart for his lies. Remember listen to your local doctor and NOT a disgraced one. It’s better to be safe than sorry

10 Must Have Apps in my iPhone

So everyone has a phone nowadays. I’m no acception to the case. I’m glued to my phone because it has helped me with a lot of stuff. Here are my 10 apps that will never get deleted from my phone.
1: Instagram
I love instagram. I love building up my following and showing people another way to live. At 7,623 followers I’m now going to become an influencer. I know I’m a role model. Not gonna lie it sometimes gives me anxiety but I can work through that. It’s helped me to become myself more. Go follow me @shannonromania
Keeping connected with my fans is so important and I do my best. I’ve made mistakes but I’m still learning.
2: Twitter
I don’t like twitter as much as I like Instagram but it gives people an alternative platform to follow me on. Go follow my public twitter account @shannonromania - this is the place where I post about politics and anything else I disagree with.
3: myheritage.com
Family is so important. I love researching my family tree. I’ll never delete this because I’m determined to find out all of my family history. I’m so glad that the website is an app as well. Whilst it may not be the best it’s helped me. If you’d like to see my tree feel free to check it out 👉 https://www.myheritage.com/site-family-tree-336053101/gregson
4: YouTube
I feel that YouTube is on everyone’s list. It’s certainly helped me out when I can’t sleep at night. I’m an unpaid YouTuber on there. I haven’t posted in awhile but I will soon. Go subscribe to my channel 👉 https://m.youtube.com/user/SuperCaptainJaneway
5: Emails
Everyone has emails. It keeps me connected. It’s more of a necessity than anything else
6: Kim Kardashian Hollywood Game
I love games so of course I added this game. It’s also helped me think of things slightly differently. Instead of the mentality of I’ll never be famous. I have the mentality of I’ll get they’re eventually.
7: Kendall + Kylie Game
Couldn’t resist this one. It’s just good fun.
8: Flo
I have trouble tracking my period. This has helped me to not only track my period but to figure out when the best time to have sex. My husband and I are trying for a baby. This app has given a lot of good advice.
9: Sky
Having the sky box connected to my phone has helped me at night. I struggle to sleep so this is a must.
10: iBooks
I love reading but don’t always have time to sit down and read. This helps because I can download the book onto my phone. I love it how my phone doubles up as a Kindle

Sexism: Is it preventable?

Sexism has been around for along time. Both women and men have been subjected to it on very different levels. Men often get shamed if they are out of shape. Whilst this is bad - this is not the worst that people have been subjected to. Women have been shamed because of they’re boobs and ass. This is sad. Because of sexism boobs are mainly seen as sex objects instead of things babies eat from. This needs to change. I don’t want any future daughters I have to feel like they have to have they’re boobs on show to get a partner. What lessons are we teaching our youths?

Sometimes sexism is preventable. How? In the age of the internet we can stop posting photos of ourselves half naked. I personally have never done this but I know someone who has.
Those of you who follow me on social media will know that I was feuding with my sister because of a photo she took in her underwear. In our family posting photos like this isn’t allowed and is deeply frowned on. I found that her reason for posting the photo to be extremely unacceptable and inappropriate.
I censored the screenshot because I was extremely horrified that her underwear was see through. I have a very strong stand point on this situation. I believe that it’s one thing to post a photo in your swimming costume but I draw the line at underwear or naked selfies.

Granted celebrities such as Kim Kardashian West are famous for they’re bodies. Whilst I personally feel that what they are doing is objectifying themselves to sexism and body shaming - that is what they make they’re money from. All because a celebrity shows off they’re body doesn’t make it right. I feel that a mixture of sleazy media personal and celebrities getting their kit off is what set off this catalyst of extreme sexism.

Unless women start respecting themselves and wearing more clothes this cycle of extreme sexism will carry on. I don’t want this to happen and hope that the media take part in restoring the respectability of women
